Algicide Size:  1L Algicide has been designed to destroy and prevent algae/bacteria growth during the winter months when your pool is not being used.  During the swimming season, Algicide should be used every 6 weeks to boost the algae inhibiting properties of chlorine products.

USING ALGICIDE

Always read the safety directions first (refer to packaging).

Algicide should be used every 6 weeks to boost the algae inhibiting properties of chlorine products.

Directions for swimming season

1. Premix Poolpride Algicide in a bucket of water then pour around perimeter of pool.
2. Add 100mls per 10,000 litres of pool water.

Directions for non-swimming season (winterising)

1. Vacuum your pool and backwash the filter.
2. Add a shock dose of chlorine granules at the rate of 200g per 10,000 litres of pool water.
3. Allow chlorine level to drop between 1 - 2ppm.
4. Premix Poolpride Algicide in a bucket of water then pour around perimeter of pool.
5. Add 200mls per 10,000 litres of pool water.

Note: You do not need to repeat the shock dose treatment, but continue to add Poolpride Algicide every 6 weeks.
